Guides for saree sellers

Saree images for Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra

Background, size and text rules sellers commonly follow for saree listings on Indian marketplaces.

Each marketplace has its own image rules, and they are updated from time to time. These are the points most saree sellers work to. Always check the latest guidelines in your seller panel before uploading.

Rules almost every marketplace shares

  • No text, logos, watermarks, prices or offer badges on the main image.
  • One product view per image, not collages.
  • Sharp, well-lit photos; blurry or stretched images get rejected.
  • The saree should fill most of the frame.

Amazon

Amazon's clothing image guide asks for a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255) on the main image, adult apparel shown on a model, and the product filling at least 85% of the image. Extra images can show other views and settings.

Flipkart

Guides for Flipkart differ on the background: some say white, some say light grey for apparel. A very light grey (around RGB 245) meets both. Flipkart also asks for front and back views of apparel, so include a back view of the drape.

Myntra

Myntra uses portrait images (3:4) on a white or off-white background, with on-model photos for most fashion categories.

Making them quickly

Haat Studio's Marketplace pack takes your photoshoot, puts the main photo on the right background, crops the other photos to each marketplace's shape and names the files with your product code. No text is added.
